I was visiting a local radio station’s Web site today to see if they had any publicity for one of our upcoming events. Needless to say, I got a little distracted.

I came across their “link of the day” from yesterday. That link leads to the Simpsons movie Web site. The page in particular is one where you can create your own Simpsons character. Similar to the way you can create a Mii on the Nintendo Wii, you can now create a Simpsons-type character of yourself.

The nice thing is, you can save the character in multiple formats, you can send it to your buddies through their e-mail, you can save it on the Web site (to get back to it) and you can print it.

In addition, according to the site, you will then notice your character popping up in various places throughout the Web site (just as your Mii does on the Wii). I’m guessing that you can even use your character in some of the games on the site.

Anyway, I thought I’d post about this to see if anyone wanted to give it a spin and post their characters. Here is the character I created in a scene from the cartoon.
