While I thought optimizing for another browser is out of date since they all pretty much follow the same models, I noticed that especially with complexity of applications on the rise in regard to XHTML, JavaScript code and CSS (hint: Ajax) I found myself optimizing for Internet Explorer 6 a lot more than I do for its competition.
The competition which is primarily is Firefox on Windows and Linux/Unix, and Safari when you are on Mac OS X. Even the Camino browser bears less issues as IE6 lately. But my equation also totally neglects Opera.
Weirdness!
